In a word – yes. We recently acted on behalf of a client where the entire process was completed in just a matter of a couple of months. We advised the client from the outset that if there were no children of the marriage and the finances had already been agreed it ought to be possible to apply for and obtain divorce relatively quickly.
Although no longer in love, the couple were still on good terms and recognised the practical and financial benefit of working together to achieve a common aim. The collaberative nature by which the parties came together meant that the whole process was completed in a very short space of time and it was very cost effective.
